Thanks anti nuclear organisations (most green political parties, greenpeace…) for this amazing accomplishment. Who needs nuclear when you have coal ! Especially in the middle of an energy crisis.
Well done morons !
Say NO to nuclear!
Say YES to 5-6 times bigger bills. Yay!
It’s not like we needed electricity anyway, great idea. Now we gan buy natural gas or some fossil fuels from yes you guessed where, what a great move against ourselfs.
“Green” initiatives. If only we were aware that renewables have to be supported by fossil for stability. Oh wait …
Guys chill, Doel 3 is as leaky as the Titanic. They cheaped out on the steel. This isn’t ideology or anything, you just can’t keep running the damn thing.
Good Belgian joke !
It’s absolutely amazing to me that even after we have proof that Exxon and their ilk frakked us over royally all those years ago, people don’t realize that they’re still doing it today having hand puppets called “the greens” or whatever in various places.
If a “green” party or group has anything to say about nuclear and it includes shutting it down, you can be certain that bigoil is behind it.
Idiots.
See, I don’t get this. I’m not a big supporter of nuclear (fission) power, at least far less so than most here on Reddit. But shutting down stuff just for the sake of shutting it down is just plain stupid. Even more so if there’s no bigger plan to actually compensate for the power deficit.
And shutting down any power plants *during an energy crisis* is beyond fucked up. If there’s nothing seriously wrong with the plant, why not postpone the plan and let it help mitigate at least *some* of the crisis?
Sad to see the EU is full of full fledged morons. Eliminating a clean energy source so we can use coal instead.
