Hi Denmark! Due to a lack of delicious, flaky wienerbrød where I live in Canada, I decided to try and make my own!

  1. I wanted to share with the wienerbrød masters <3 Please don’t roast me too harshly for my chocolate chips! ….or at least roast me in Danish, so I can’t understand 😉 i tired my best for the fillings using what i had on hand!

  2. Not even the high end baker where i live delivers pastries looking as good.

Hope they taste as delicious as they look!

  3. Do you ship some samples out? They look delicious but i need to taste them ASAP please 🙂

Btw. whenever you want a danish citizenship just come here with some good wienerbrød <3

  4. OP: “Please don’t roast me”

Proceeds to make the most perfect looking wienerbrød in existence.

    Good job OP

  5. As a Dane who is addicted to wienerbrød I approve this message.

    Beautiful!

But did you add coffee beans and chocolate????? That doesn’t seem “kosher”;)

  6. Looks awesome, 9/10 would eat, but i like more cream in mine 👍🏻
Don’t share them with your family, they will come ask for more.

  7. HVAD I ALVERDEN LAVER DEN CHOKOLADE MIDT I BAGERENS DÅRLIGE ØJE?!?
Ok, I was a bit thrown by the chocolate chips but seriously, that spandauer looks good otherwise!

  8. Move here and start a bakery, those are the most delicious looking pastries I’ve ever seen.

  9. We need some of that south of the border for stranded danes..
    What recipes did you follow?

  10. This brings me back to spending childhood days in Lyngby.

Damn I miss the Danes. Fransk Pølser just a walk away, El Paso burgers, but most importantly – the bakeries. Every single thing I used to get from a bakery was delectable. Flaky divinity.

I was always surprised that the relatives asked us to bring Aunt Jemima pancake mix when they had so many great bakeries around.

Well made, I’d say. Wish I had things like this where I live now.

Edit: I forgot to add, but there is some sweet round berry that grows all over Denmark. I forget the exact name, but similar to a currant. Damn those things were delicious.

  11. As a Canadian who spent a year in Denmark as a teen, that reminds me of 4 am leaving the disco and hitting up the bakery as it opened for all the yummy food and sitting on the steps eating and just loving it!!!

  12. Where are you located in Canada. As a Dane living here I have a pretty good idea of where to get good stuff in both Ontario and Alberta.

  13. Cultural appropriation!!!1! First we surrender half of our rightful land, Hans Ø, and now this!
