OK. I get the working royals thing. But he served his Queen on 2 COMBAT deployments and he and Prince Andrew are the only combat veterans of the family and he still couldn’t wear his uniform to her funeral. Yes, Prince Andrew’s case is different but . . . .

Personally I can see this making more people get turn off the royals for there pissiness. Especially considering that he did actually serve.
Well, because of the rules – which aren’t backed with reason
I couldn’t help but wonder what would’ve happened if he had saluted *anyway*.
What were they going to do, drag his arm down? Stop the whole thing?
Realistically whatever they did it couldn’t take that moment back.
The Firm did themselves no favours this week, by being so petty and vindictive. By treating Harry the same as Andrew, they’re basically saying that their “crimes” are equal.
So: Man marries biracial woman who is smeared, bullied, harassed and scapegoated, to the extent that he fears she will suffer the same fate as his own Mother. He goes to his family to ask for help and protection, and help to put an end to the racism & bullying from the media – and we KNOW the Firm can put a stop to reporting on certain topics (William’s alleged affair). The family refuses to do anything, so he feels he has no choice but to live abroad to protect his wife and children.
This STILL isn’t good enough for people who had been shouting “Leave the country”, so every time the Firm needs a distraction, they continue the smear campaign.
Then you have Queen’s favourite, liar and man who is best friends with sex traffickers and paedophiles, investigated by the FBI, and whose alleged victim had to be paid off with £12 million of Mummy’s money. Reports of his wrongdoings are often covered up by nasty little stories about Harry & Meghan.
Result: Both men lost their HRH title, their patronages, their military affiliations, and their right to wear military uniform and salute their Commander-in-Chief. Both “punished” equally, which assumes both their “crimes” are equal.
No wonder Harry left this cesspit of an island.
Why doesn’t he just do it anyway, what are they going to do usher him out mid funeral?
