The simple fact that nobody will get fired or jailed for this type of incompetence is one of the (many) reasons people get frustrated by politics.

Een likje verf kan soms wonderen doen maar 37 euro was wel een heel goedkope raming voor een renovatie.
Wie raamt er dan ook een volledige restauratie op 37 euro?
10x is absurd veel.
Luik Guillemins was 2x zo duur. 312miljoen voor alleen het station. Totale kost 445miljoen voor het station en alle nodige wijzigingen aan omliggende infrastructuur enz enz. Nog steeds een hallucinant bedrag.
Ook van dezelfde architect maar of die daar iets mee te maken heeft betwijfel ik

Sure there was a lot of incompetence from the state (NMBS and Bergen counsel) side. But if you watched the RTBF investigative report on this fiasco then it’s clear that the Spanish architect (Calatrava) pretty much took the whole project hostage by stating outrages technical demands, inventing new requirements on the go and refusing any responsibility if the builder would deviate from his demands only so slightly. A flagrant example is the colour of the in mass coloured concrete: Calatrava demands were so absurd (in fact technically unfeasible within a reasonable time frame) that it took the builder 3 months to get a concrete mix recipe accepted. Lesson are there to be learned (in this case also from Calatrava projects in Venice for example).
Kan ik nog iets betekenen voor dit station met mijn bouwfirma?
Het kost nog steeds 37 miljoen hoor, maar de overige 263 miljoen € is geld voor vriendjes…. Betaald door de overheid natuurlijk….
alles wordt duurder, dus ook de gasrekeningen van alle onderaannemers en vergunning-afleveraars etc…
Ik denk ook dat veel van die openbare aanbesteding gewoon een wedstrijdje liegen is. Iedereen weet +- dat het 200 miljoen of meer gaat kosten. Maar als je dat in het voorstel zet krijg je dat sowieso niet

Hoe is dit in Godsnaam mogelijk!! België is zoveel meer corrupt dan men denkt lijkt me, hoe kan dit zelfs? Dergelijke fraudes moeten mensen verantwoordelijk en aan een schandpaal stellen.. Hoop dat dit viraal mag gaan opdat men iemand terecht kan stellen
