I didn’t even know roller blading was still a thing
After a chat he was allowed on his way? He’ll be wanting to chat to a solicitor after that man-handling
good the police should not be rollerblading near the car 😁
I can’t imagine a would be assassin/terrorist putting violent action to their agenda on rollerblades
Reminds me of the time that guy was apprehended for jogging too close to David Cameron.
At least most of the police wear uniforms so we know who to avoid.
Cops mess up and get shit for it. Cops do the job properly and get shit for it. Who’d be a cop.
Guy was in a rush, probably trying to get back to the late 90s
So… guy thought it would be funny to rollerblade down a cordoned off street that’s being guarded by police…
That first copper was useless: *”Oh no, I better not run out and stop this potential murderer/terrorist heading towards the motorcade because I might get in the way of the motorcade and that wouldn’t be proper. I’ll just stand here and let him run into the motorcade. Hope his bomb doesn’t go off.”*
The police seemed surprised that some of us don’t care, and want to continue our normal lives
“The skater told police he did not realise the road was closed.”
Sure….
Didn’t know the police were being issued rollerblades now.
Seems a bit unprofessional to go around on them in traffic, especially the king’s car.
lol the ridiculous outrage people have in here trying to protect a man rollerblading at a national funeral procession. He knew exactly what he was doing.
The thing with the police is they always seem to employ hyper aggressive wankers.
The initial takedown? Fair enough.
When he’s on the floor a 3rd cop comes and pushes jos head into the floor.
When he’s being ‘walked off’ after the king passes another cop grabs his neck and pushes him down.
These two actions are totally unnessary. Results of hyoer aggressive police that just like to manhandle people and assert dominance.
Will never take the institution seriously whilst they continue to allow and protect police that behave in this way.
How anyone can defend this idiot is mind blowing. Jumping through a road closed barricade with officers trying to warn him. Some commenters see the words police/king and lose all logic.
Dispatcher: ”…..something, something blade”
Police: ”Hold my fish and chips”
Wether the king was there or not he deserved that just for being a grown man with rollerblades
How is anyone here doing anything but praise the police for this? The bloke is a fucking idiot.
As much as I dislike the monarchy and the police, what was it the rollerblader actually expected to happen here? Play stupid games win stupid prizes, he’s lucky he didn’t get so close that they assumed a terrorist threat and shot him

Fucking scumbags tbh.
Here’s an alternate angle: https://old.reddit.com/r/ActualPublicFreakouts/comments/xgpnmj/police_roll_roller_skater_away_to_jeering_crowds

Somebody shared this video further down the thread. I’ve got a lot less sympathy for the rollerblader since watching the alternative angle – his excuse of “didn’t realise the road was closed” sounds pretty weak after seeing this: https://old.reddit.com/r/ActualPublicFreakouts/comments/xgpnmj/police_roll_roller_skater_away_to_jeering_crowds/
