Generation Stuck at Home: The family tensions, stifled sex lives and dashed dreams of adults stuck living with parents

  1. I give it two years before someone gets the bright idea to copy Japan’s Love Hotels, where couples rent rooms by the hour to shag because they both live at home.

  2. And yet most Irish parties, including FFG, SF & PBP are satisfied to jack up the taxes on these youths so the older, more financially secure people can retire at record early rates.

It makes no sense. We’ll be paying thousands of euro extra tax if the pension age isn’t increased. Sinn Féin in particular should be ashamed for trying to play both sides. They claim to represent young people and yet they knowingly support a policy that would place a massive financial burden on the already precarious finances of the youth so they can win a few more votes from elderly voters. It’s a betrayal and a shocking number of their young supporters refuse to look at the numbers and are lapping it up.

  3. fast forward to the next general election where ff and fg get into bed with each other again and nothing changes…. well it will change, it will get worse

  4. This is so true. I can practically never meet up with young guys since neither of us can accom, so I’m just left with getting the bus to some older guy’s place all the time.

  5. English here the same. I am an old man, whose home seems to have become a “Halfway House”.
Mother Love is stronger, than Marriage Oaths.
