People 3d printing their own license plates or LU ahead of the curve?

  1. I remember seeing a post here some time ago where fake plates were made in eastern Europe but it was more for showing off there, not for driving around Switzerland legally.

  2. If you want to steal a car, find one in public take its pictures including license plate, then steal the exact same one in Germany. Slap on your fake Swiss plates and it’ll be much harder to catch you. Unless if you’re an idiot and think the cantons depicted on the right are just pretty pictures. Usually drive your car to the Balkans (Albania is the most common) and then have a nice Porsche.

  3. No movie set. It was a left hand drive car parked in London W1, very affluent street in Mayfair. The front was just a sticker “LU 2783”.

  4. His license plate is public (not blocked) so you can easily check who he is, and then by simply googling his name you can figure out what does he do. In short, a quite wealthy Qatari citizen who seems to now live in the UK so I reckon that either his plates were stolen or sth similar and those are his replacement ones
