despite the decline, the fact remains that European right-wing populists remain more positive toward Russia, Putin in comparison with other Europeans.
As a totally unrelated matter :why do people use “,” instead of “and”?? It’s annoying and often gives the sentence a different meaning…
Probably because he’s not winning like they expected. They all worship his police state and enforcement of fundamentalist Christian values.
What decline? Our far right morons, a bunch of fucking traitors, are still saying Russia is only reacting to the West.
Even if there is a small decline in Putin Supporters, European conservative fascist/nazi right-wingers ARE STILL a threat and not all of them have put aside or hidden their admiration for Putin (Italy’s Lega, France’s Front National, Germany’s AfD who had some members travel to Russia to make propaganda against Germany…).
The threat is still out there and must be stopped by any means necessary.
I mean, when he threatens to nuke you what do you expect..
It’s only because they can feel the dampness from the unrepairable hole on the sinking ship. I’m sure for the right price they will jump on the next traitorous ship.
They say they’re not pro-Russian, but they still spew pro-Kremlin bullshit disinformation propaganda
I don’t believe it for a moment. Right-wing populists (or the far-right, or whatever you want to call them) say a lot. Most of them understand that they will be regarded as traitors (and rightfully so) if they support Putin now. But I’m pretty sure that deep down they still admire Putin, and a lot of them probably support the Russian invasion as well. They just don’t say it out loud, for now. Except for the real die-hard national-populists, like our very own Baudet over here. He *still* blames the West for Putin’s illegal war. Just a couple of days ago, Baudet claimed that Russia is a victim of several conspiracies of the global elite. This week, he literally [stated](https://www.rtlnieuws.nl/nieuws/politiek/artikel/5334934/thierry-baudet-sigrid-kaag-complot-complottheorie-algemene) this about Russia and Putin:
> “It is a country with a strong sense of national identity, with a realistic approach to foreign policy and a virile, male leader against whom the effeminate, often sexually deviant politicians of the West stand out sharply.”
I hope this helps bring PiS down – they stand by Orban even as he stands by Russia.
