These people did NOT attend this because they wanted to. The state forces our poor people (teachers, doctors, students, etc) to go there. It’s all show to help them build a totalitarian society, to make it seem like everyone around you supports Putin, to marginalize dissent.
Usual way it is done there: random poor shmucks from nearby regions get loaded into a bus under threat of being fired.
Hopefully they gave them a few kilos of potatoes for attending, they will need them soon.

Most of those demonstrators are either from different “patriotic organizations”(basically goons on a paycheck, who are used for things like this) or minor government workers(like teachers) who are forced to go by their bosses
