One way Moscow -> Antalya flight prices are soaring.

  1. I was looking to do some wellness weekend or something in Turkey. The hotels are under siege as well. The Russians who can afford these flights just book Hotels for an entire month, no matter the cost.

Well, no vacation in Turkey for me then.

  2. Protip – don’t do a manual connection between two airlines that don’t codeshare (ie Gulf Air and Pegasus).

  3. That is one way to prop up the price of Bitcoin, Ether, ADA, Cardano, and Binance.

Anyone escaping from the eastern Urals to Cilicia and West Armenia, will need to be able to move their savings with them.

Suggest sticking to XRP and Bitcoin. Ether still looks a bit shaky

[ Edit : Better now than in another few weeks.

It is currently looking a lot like the moments before the capture of the Romanovs. ]

  4. This is not just a Turkish phenomenon. Compare a number of destinations now verses mid-Nov (presumably more normal times).

    Moscow to | 26 Sept | 26 Nov
    ————-|——-|——-
    Belgrade | $9229 | $441
    Cairo | $1500ish (25th) | $361/750ish
    Mumbai | $3200ish | $500

and so forth. Some of that is booking late, but a lot of it is straight-up profiteering. Moscow to anywhere is expensive at the moment. Google flights warns you on all of them that “prices are high right now”. Google Flights also offers a price chart, and all of the Moscow flights are ridiculous, compared to their price only a week or two ago.
