  1. Also, if anyone has a good source for communist propaganda posters geared toward women, please let me know. Currently doing a research project on the new wave film era.

    Thank you!

  2. It’s something like:
“Czech woman, we are calling you (we want you)
To do creative work for better tommorow of our nation – Communist party of Czechoslovakia.”

  3. ‘Czech woman, we call upon you to work for the nation’s better tomorrow.’ – The Communist Party of Czechoslovakia.

Also, ‘tvůrčí práce’ can be interpreted in different ways because it could mean creative work, but in the context of the ideology of ‘budovatelství’ (building the nation), it most likely means manual labor and planning, not creative work.

  4. #Czech Woman, we call upon you!

To labour for our nations better tomorrow • Communist party of Czechoslovakia

The bottom part literlay says labour creatively but that sounds weird and has different conotations in english, i.e arts and crafts instead of working in a steel mil, so i didnt put it in my translation

  5. I know OP is asking about Czech language.

But I find it funny and interesting that in Croatian it means “Czech women, I love you!”.

And after 10 years working at Adriatic seaside, I couldnt agree more.
