He described the incoming German coalition of Social Democrats, Greens
and liberal Free Democrats as a left-wing government with a
“pro-immigration, pro-gender, federalist, pro-German Europe agenda.”
I hope this crook gets ousted in the next elections. He absolutely despicable.
I sure hope so, because he badly needs his shit kicked in, and good ol’ Angela was busy shielding him and his cronies so all the German factories can keep getting that sweet sweet cheap Hungarian labour juice.
>He argued that “Germans are on the other path of European civilization, towards a kind of post-Christian and post-national state.”
And I think he’s right here to a certain degree.
But it’s not that Germany wants to abolish the nation states but rather add a further European layer on top based on human rights and rule of law.
>“Germans are on the other path of European civilization, towards a kind of post-Christian state.”
Don’t threaten me with a good time.
I can’t even imagine the horror of not financing the S-Class of some Bishop with my taxes.
The harshest critics of Orban in Germany are now forming the new government.
Orban was so scared of Merkel, he didn’t dare to to go “gloves off” as long as she was still in office. What a wuzz.
The Other Path: Enlightenment, Secularism, Universalism.
The shit that got us out of the dark ages.
Speaking as an Irishman I’m so glad my country is now (more or less) post Christian. It means less child abuse, less fear and less poverty.
We’re already amid the beginning of the post christian age in western europe. Abortion is widely accepted, even referred to as a “human right”. Euthanasia in Holland and Switzerland will inevitably spread to the rest of Western Europe. Our medical profession pretends it can transform people into the opposite sex by exogenous hormone therapies and mutilating the genitals. It’s an affront to nature.
Art which once aspired to be beautiful and impressive has been replaced by provocateurs who merely want to shock audiences with a political statement. Architects seek to outdo one another in their insane internal hierarchy by building wacky, ugly and sometimes demoralising buildings in our once beautiful cities. There is no longer a common aspirational higher value.
The thing is, the modern mantras of “buy things” and “feel good” won’t last very long. People are not satisfied by these things; they want to transcend the mundane routine of everyday life with something meaningful which affirms their existence and suffering. As a consequence we will see more political extremism, native europeans flocking to the certainties of Islam and even climate change cultism (xtinction rebellion for example). This has happened before in just a different form and the consequences will be the same.
> Last year, Orbán said that he had tried to convince Merkel not to leave her post.
Wait what?
Big Trump energy here! Chad Orban , throwing an idiom that is about fighting ugly , in a continent that has built treaty’s to prevent exactly that.
