  1. Meanwhile, Leopards have said that they expect to continue to eat faces throughout 2022 and into 2023.

    Analysts agree with current projections.

  2. That’s not what investors do though? Times like these are exactly when they like they like to go on a spending splurge

  3. I’d have thought it more likely they buy up cheap British businesses, which is a kind of investment (until they strip them of IP and other assets).

I’m sure Mad Liz and co will help them out.

  4. Ok, who’s not believing in Brexit enough? Can’t you see the damage you’re doing.

Truss is going to make it a criminal offence to “not believe hard enough”.

  5. Eu workers leave due to Brexit, contractors leaves because of taxes and IR35, families leave because of childcare, housing and cost of living, businesses leave because of the economy. Wonder who’s gonna pay for the NHS and welfare in the near future.

  6. Investors are cunts. Government is full of cunts. I’d love it if they deserted the UK as maybe we’d be able to afford our own *residential* houses before the fuckers snapped them up

But this headline is shite, if the pound is cheap they get more for their money

  7. Everything the UK imports is getting more expensive. Food, fuel. Petrol won’t fall that much as it’s priced in $ and the £ has collapsed. Partly price inflation – partly collapsing £. Oil is down from $115 to 85 and yet the price of petrol hasn’t fallen back to £1.50 – that is not profiteering that’s the collapsing £ !!

  8. But… but we took the control of our borders back!

We are saving all the money we donate(!) to EU!

The fishing rights, the migration, the…

My goodness I feel bored even teasing those low-lives.

Rot in the shitehole that you have built with your votes, I am leaving as soon as I can.

  9. So Dizzy Liz won’t pursue a windfall tax because companies will stop investing in the UK, but if they are worried the economy tanking will make them leave she really doesn’t have an excuse for not going all in on the tax

  10. This has been on the cards since they decide to use what they called ‘quantative easing’, which was just printing money so there was more. The downside of that is inflation and the situation we have now.

  11. Disaster capitalism only works when everything is worthless and cheap. Then you buy it up and rebuild. You get exceptionally rich in the process.

  12. Which type of investors?

Certainly not the ones buying up all our homes, land and businesses with foreign money, they are going to be taking full advantage of the position of the pound.

  13. Has Truss blamed the Blair/Brown governments for it yet? I need to know so I can mark off my 2022 Tory bollocks bingo card. Nearly at a full house now

  14. What’s so annoying is that we just had no warnings the economy would shit itself so hard after Brexit. I mean, if only there were so experts we could listen to, who could have told us we were going to absolutely screw ourselves if we voted to leave leave the EU.

    Sigh.

  15. As soon as the US tech growth gravy train is over investors will be looking for value instead and the UK is the best place in the developed world to find that right now.
