In a few years, you’ll be paying over 12 Euro in carbon tax on the same bag of coal….
Its true, carbon tax of 100 Euro per ton CO2 by 2030 means about 10.50 on a 40 kg bag of coal, add VAT on top of that makes it about 12.90 just for the carbon tax…
11 years ago people still struggled to pay that post crash.
Who just takes a picture of a coal sign and keeps it for 11 years
11 years ago, and people back then didn’t know how to use apostrophes either. Nothing has changed.
It was 20 odd just a year or two ago.
Stupidly thought smokeless coal was better for the environment in a way but they are both in the same bracket price wise
Be wary of coal burning for heat needs, its at the point now where an electric heater is cheaper, and more controllable.
Coal = approx 7kw per kg, open fire at 30% efficiency = 42kw output.
Check the cost of 42kw of electric, it’s around the same as a bag of coal currently.
In short, get a stove (80% efficient), or an electric heater (~100% conversion efficiency)
11 years ago the unemployment rate in Ireland was about 15% and there were about 20,000 unit for rent on DAFT.

Great times.
That apostrophe is offensive.
