Are Sai legal? i was wondering about the legality of one as id like to train for personal use, theyre not bladed but theyre blunt so im wondering if theyre considered blades or not anyone know?

    You can knock into your local guards and confirm but I’ve done HEMA before and have friends that are still into it, practice is a valid reason to own and transport 5ft long swords.

    Other posters have talked about flick knives and butterfly knives which have a special provision but sai don’t fall under this.

  2. When it comes to knives and swords they aren’t illegal in themselves. If you buy a set online and keep them in your home they are perfectly legal to own. Lots of people collect swords etc.

    However if you decide to bring them to your local park and flute around with them they would be.

    So the short answer is they are legal to own in the confides of your own gaf but not out in public.
