It’s good to see the rollout of the rural hubs, and if people get using them you’d see a huge change in rural Ireland. I think they’ll need to do more than vouchers. The best thing they could do is start setting targets for making public jobs remote and enforcing those on the heads of bodies.
The average cost per day of €15-€20 seems far too high to me. If the government is serious about the likes of this then they should be reducing it to circa €5. Would encourage more people to make the move and also allow for more money in peoples pockets to spend in local coffee shops etc.
Who exactly are these aimed at? If you have room for an office at home then you most likely won’t go into a hub (outside of maybe the odd circumstance where you can’t work at home). If you don’t have room for an office – you’re hardly going to pay the guts of €400 a month for a co-working space.
Any update on that Right to WFH legislation?
My remote is working just fine.
use the voucher two times in carlow, handy. Even though my work pays 500/month towards coworking if i want it, still good to have an app that isn’t just for wework and for all the other local places.
