I can appreciate the putting of all the native languages on, but I’m afraid I won’t be able to express thoroughly enough in words how much I loathe the mixing of alignments. Specifically the left alignment. It makes me angry enough that were your design an EU imposition or even mere suggestion, I’d vote leave.
Why an off centre logo for the cover?
I think the rest is really great though.
Edit: guess if I’m going to get downvoted for asking a question I best commit. Off center designs are used by those without creativity and use it as a cheap “interesting take” to appear creative and different.
Why is the crest not in the middle? What sort of maniac are you? I couldn’t have a passport like that.
I really like this – it looks modern, functional and in all the home languages as far as I can tell. Inclusive as it should be.
Good first effort. Pls centre align cover and return for final review.
I suppose you skip the boring part where you have to put different UK related things on each page, for one of the pages just have a picture of a sausage roll and pie.
For everyone that’s so **flabbergasted** about the main cover text and coat of arms being aligned to the left, this is a common practice seen for example in the:
I love it, though I was never a fan of burgundy. I’d love a nice deep green passport. Or a classy black.
This is perhaps even more boring that the original.
The new “Brexit” passports actually look better than this and the intro page is much cleaner and easier to read than this (harsh but true).
I think I’d rather have the logo on the front be centred, rather than left-aligned.
I don’t like it, I think the current design is superior, I prefer the larger crest on the front as well as the page designs, it’s not a bad job. But the current one is a pretty good design already
It’s an improvement, but you’ll always struggle to better the beauty of Norway’s passport design (UV sensitive ink!!).

First two pages are really elegant. Much better than the crap the official graphic designers have been churning out of late

Where are the “background” Paddington Bear watermarks?
Big fan of the left-aligned crest but the centered bit at the bottom doesn’t look right to me
why would you not centre image and text on cover???
They should at least update the pages to have some interesting designs on them like the previous series, instead of the plain boring ones.

Yeah nice, but the left alignment of the coat of arms and the text looks odd when full width as it is, and also when the e-passport symbol plus below text is centred.
Great concept, but definitely needs some tweaking with line widths/font height to get this nailed.
The Ulster Scots speakers might not be happy with it.

I kind of like the blue/ black one though (sorry /r/uk), especially the back with the Tudor Rose, Shamrock, Scotch Thistle and Daffodil.
The inner pages are too boring though, should all be pictures from various cities/ landmarks/ countryside in the UK.
The design is great but pls give it the post Brexit blue, that colour looks so damn good compared to the ugly maroon colour they used before

Idk man, I really like our passport, I love your first page in the two page section but I can’t see any upgrades from the current passport
I think there’s too many people (like me) who’d find it annoying to not have the crest in the middle.
The way it works is, those who like it on the left, would likely not be annoyed by it in the centre. But the other way round – it’s annoying for those of us who still have DNA from billions of years of evolution, which causes symmetry of certain things to be more pleasing to the eye, and the offset of certain things to look ‘mutated’.
Otherwise good job, would be happy with a blue first page, and even more happier with a red passport cover again.
Congrats in the MRZ 44 characters and good chevrons name usage
Yer line divider thing / needs to be longer and you need moar holograms, security features and shit cause this is counterfeit heaven

I find the front cover too busy and ugly. The font is also too small, especially for anyone visually impaired.
