That’s rich, coming from a young, privileged white woman. Also, what the heck does race have to do with that? Or wealth? I’m by no means rich and I’m also not that old yet, but I was in favor of it since I’m in favor of equality between men and women. And is she trying to imply that there’s no way a black person (or even better, a black woman) could possibly have voted Yes? Typical leftwing racism right there.

    > «Frauen tragen diese Gesellschaft, unbezahlt», sagte Funiciello.

Yeah… I’m sure men contribute absolutely nothing to society. Never have. /s
Oh, and no woman ever got paid for her work either. In fact, all women are slaves of the evil patriarchy in Switzerland. /s

Well, at least she’s showing her true face more publicly now. A white, privileged, racist, men-hating woman whining because 65 equals 65 and not 64. I mean I get it; it sucks to have to work a year longer. But then you gotta talk about “privileges”, and not about “equality”. Women live longer than men, yet had to work less long. Why? Because women are so frail and can’t possibly be burdened by working just as long as men? That doesn’t sound very feministic to me. What happened to “women are just as capable as men, or even moreso” all of a sudden?

  2. I personally voted against it but I accept the result. On the other side I totally understand the anger.

Downvote me as much as you want but I don’t think that this is the correct way to handle the result.

  3. Isn’t it kind of ironic that they choose a Monday morning to protest? Regular people have to work then. Funiciello is one of the most privileged women to walk this country, not one honest day of work for this screamer so far.

  6. I’m a woman and I’m okay with working till 65…
    …BUT:
    – men need to stay at home too, to do free labour (childcare, cleaning, cooking, family event planning, etc. -> there are still mostly women staying at home (or the big part at least), doing free labour, even young couples in their twenties)
    – women should FINALLY be paid equally.

There ARE some things where women and men can’t be treated equally because of physics (like pregnancy/giving birth (women) or having more muscles (men). I’d LOVE to share pregnancy and especially giving birth with my husband. I think it’s only fair. But you see…. thats no possible.

  7. Accept the results whether you were for or against in a vote. That’s how our system works.

  8. I was very surprised that people voted for increasing VAT to keep retirement ages artificially low. People need to work longer if they live longer. You don’t a math degree to figure that out.

Raising taxes instead is blatantly unsustainable. We’ll just have the same problem in 5 years again.

I also really don’t like the generation-warfare bullshit these laws engage in. Making the next generation pay for your retirement instead of working long enough to sustainably afford it is not fair and voting yourself other people’s money needs very good reasons. “I want to retire before I can afford it” is not a good reason.

  9. Isn’t it funny how cis-men’s idea of equality is treating women as bad as they are treated? Cis-men just don’t have the balls to stand up for themselves and demand retirement age of 64 ;P
