Considering I still don’t fully understand what happened or why it happened from the reports I’ve seen I’m going to say yes.
Social media is full of bullshit that trolls have made up to get people mad, nobody would dispute that.
But ffs people need to take some personal responsibility and not be so quick to form a fucking lynch mob because of something they read on the internet
Yes, misinformation about the religion they’re mobbing each other over not being a load of made up nonsense
Media in damage limitation mode, doesn’t look good for the status quo when we’ve got gangs of Hindus and Muslims fighting each other in the streets, does it?
Honestly, it was muh muh disinformation! Hindus and Muslims love each other really!! DIVERSITY IS STRENGTH!
So the BBC found nothing? That’s good to know. The best that civil society can do right now is to be firm and not tolerate an inch of this behaviour. Some of us come from South Asian families, fucking embarrassing.

Even if you think you are bias, they get you some how. Whether it’s playing on your love or hatred.
Reddit and Imgur seem to be the biggest tools and people lap it up.
At least on Twitter views are not soo restricted and you have a better overall understanding/picture of what is taking place. It is then up to you to use your morality to decide.
