ordered 2 items from amazon, the package arrived and it was torn from the side. When I opened it, only 1 item was there.

I checked the amazon site and it said that both items were delivered. I made a report to UPS \[they delivered the package\] and to amazon. Amazon made me do a police report.. I never ever returned anything and never had a refund or anything. I don’t know why they did this, well I have filed a police report today. Spent 2 whole hours at the police station to fill it in, talk with the police etc over some amazon package. The thing is, I have sent them the police report and they said it won’t be accepted?? What do I do now? This is such a joke, I wasted so much time and they took my money for something I never received.

  1. Credit card dispute. Send back all the info.

    Onus is on them to deliver and there are eu distance selling laws that this breaks as they’ve not fulfilled their sale.

    This has nothing to do with police

  2. You used a credit card right? File a dispute with your credit card issuer for goods not received and set the chargeback amount to 50% of the total purchase since half was missing.

    See what your credit card issuer says.

  3. I outright refuse to buy from any store that uses UPS anymore. Literally all my items get “lost”. To make things even more infuriating, this handwritten piece of paper is the only sign to identify their office when you go to their hellhole warehouse in luqa: [it’s not a joke. this is literally it. ](https://i.imgur.com/KQ9WbQP.jpg)

  6. I had the exact same situation recently. Amazon asked for a police report and they kept rejecting it and being absolutely unhelpful about it.

    I ended up filing a chargeback with my bank and showed them the police report. I won the case and got my money back.

  7. My wife just got some stuff from amazon, delivered them to her shop.

    UPS apparently “delivered” the package at 2pm when the shop is closed. Signed with her surname. Package was nowhere to be found. We checked CCTV and no one even came to the shop at that time.

    She got into a lot of back and forth with ups who said that if the package was signed for, then it MUST have been delivered. We ended up going through amazon who at least refunded us.

    in the meantime, UPS was still insisting that the package was delivered. My wife threatened legal action and somehow they “found” the package in one of their vans. The operator said she will keep it at their warehouse for pickup. The operator promised to keep it there until I pick it up. I go there 3 days later because I didnt have time to pick it up. The warehouse is a mess, no one gives a shit, and theres no receiptionist so I call and ask for the package. To my surprise they said the time had elapsed and sent the package back to the sender.

    WTF man.

    Total disaster. Both maltapost and DHL are way better than this pos company.

    In your case your only option is to do a chargeback.

  9. How can you accept a delivery which was open on one side? I lived in Balzan and had an agreement with the UPS driver in my area. He called me on my mobile number every time he had a delivery.
