Molly Russell: Instagram posts seen by teen were safe, Meta says

  1. So do we treat teens like children or adults?

Keep in mind children (under 13) usually do have less access to things online. I know Facebook used to be 13+ and I presume it still is.

  2. It’s pretty easy to find graphic self harm content on mainstream social media sites, but if I’m being honest she’d have found that content elsewhere had it not been on instagram (source: used to self harm, have been on the websites dedicated to pictures of self harm, they’re not hard to find.)

People should have the right to talk openly online, and if the images aren’t graphic I’m not sure there’s much they can do about it?
