  1. For many Esb going down also means no Netflix, gaming, pot noodles (unless you’ve a gas stove), porn, like all the good things in life.

  2. It’s grand. If you’ve no electricity to boil the kettle for tea, you can just boil a pan of water on the electric stove.

    …..mmm….wait….maybe not!!

  3. I don’t want the power to go, I just want to see a pin land close enough that I can pull the plug and have a duvet day.

  4. Showered , food cooked , power banks charged over night. Samsung tablet charged with flicks downloaded. Refill my big thermos with fresh boiling water soon , good for 5 cuppas .
Im set for 36 hours of no electricity if it happens where i am in cork city

  5. I would love a no work day, but I’ve loads on today, I need to get off Reddit but shit break so will be gone off it again in a minute or two. I would love to just be able to kick back and not have to do any work today, just listen to that wind and rain, but thankful I’m inside and didn’t have to go out to go to work and if the power didn’t go, have the heat on, still on an old film turned down low and just relax and maybe doze and nod off throughout the day. Ah, to dream!

  6. Power absolutely never goes out where I live now. When I lived out the country it did like once a year nearly.

I would kind of like a power outage to get off work.

  7. I’m ready! Have a small petrol generator that’ll power the gas boiler & circulation pump or a small portlable hob & the kettle.

  8. I want it to go down in my office, so the VPN doesn’t work and so neither can I, but stay on in my house.

It’s only 1.2 miles away, so tricky to pull off, but I have faith in Barra.
