– “It’s completely illogical and doesn’t make sense,” said one journalist with knowledge of the negotiations.”
Yes, having a monarchy is bizarre and doesn’t make sense.
All that was streamed online. There’s probably multiple copies already circulating on torrent sites. Is not going away.
I’ve got a copy of the whole thing and if they keep kicking up a fuss I’ll host it on multiple servers to make sure everyone and their dog has it. Fuck the monarchy.
So they were happy for it to be everywhere for the best part of two bloody weeks and now they wish to censor it?
Why do they not want to show it? It was broadcast on almost every channel and online. If there was any embarrassing or bad moments they’d already have been uploaded a million times.
In this time if transition to a much less popular monarch, it is long past time that media organisations stand up to the Royal family. Modern journalism is all about trading editorial control for access, if every piece a channel puts out is a total character assassination then public figures simply stop giving interviews etc., but the reality is that King Charles is on the back foot far more so than his mother.
People didn’t really like Prince Charles, so king Charles is beginning with a deficit he must make up. The only way he can do that is with a co-operative media, so the balance has changed and media organisation should take advantage of that and stand up to them on this and many other issues.
Only read the headline, but is the monarchy charging the broadcasters for a event paid for by taxpayers. I hope the income goes back into taxpayers pockets
