  2. LOL, it’s not worth 500PLN. It’s “the old money”, other than sentimental/collectable (if in perfect condition) value, it’s worth next to nothing (10 000PLZ = 1PLN)

  5. Nowhere. Exchange ended in 2010. Also, it was worth only 0.05 post-denomination zlotys.

  6. That’s a collectors item, keep it.

    It’s from the 80s which was a time of hyperinflation, so today it would only be worth 0.05 PLN. Giving it to the bank is not worth it, but you could sell it in a decade or so.

  8. It is an old banknote used before the hyperinflation in Poland in 1990. Nominally, it is worth 0.05 PLN, about 1 US cent. Better sell it as a souvenir.

  15. These banknotes can no longer be exchanged. When they still were exchangable, you could have gotten 5 gr (0,05 PLN, slightly more than one U.S. cent) for this one.

    When the New Złoty (PLN) ws introduced in 1995, the exchange rate with the Old Złoty (PLZ) was:

    1 PLN = 10,000 PLZ (ten thousand old złoty)

    I.e. this banknote is pretty much worthless, unless you use it as a collectible of sorts.

  22. It’s not actuall currency, got collectors value starting from 10PLN, due it’s good condition. In best condition it could achieve mich higher prices – eg. for print from 70′ they wana 250pln. Esp. depending on your location. Poles had loads of this, but foreigners didn’t so sky is the limit.

  23. The money has changed since 1982 but it seems the design of modern Polish banknotes is very similar.

  26. Sell it online to a Polish American. As one myself, Kosciuszko is a national hero to many of us. Sad that Lafayette is taught in our schools but not this great man.

  27. Right now in a similar condition from 1982, it is worth around 15 PLN, but it is on polish websites similar to e-bay

  37. How does one get a 500 zł denomination?

    Everytime I try to withdraw I’m always getting 200 or 100 zł
