I was out plane spotting earlier and noticed on the radar that a flight from Dublin to JFK got diverted back to Dublin. Apparently there was a bird strike on the engine and Micheál Martin was on board.

That’s mad, I was on a flight coming in from Malaga and said to my wife look at that plane with all the fire brigades around it, just noticed it as we landed, nice one OP now I know what was going on. Just to add as we were taxiing back the fire brigades we’re driving away so it obviously wasn’t bad.

11. Why do people go watching planes like this? Is it a genuine interest in planes? Or are they secretly hoping for a crash?

12. Wow its crazy you can get such clear line of sight on a runway still when just last week I was reading how German police caught lads from Ukraine selling stinger missiles that ‘got lost’
