Can I ignore this mail? I don’t want to use the Swiss-ID. What will happen after the 12.10.?

  1. Sadly you won’t be able to login. I wonder if services like returning stuff and sending mail can be done without logging in.

  2. I think it is a sign that the SBB has dropped out of the Swiss ID project. It’s simply a squeeze.

I have nothing against a single login for offices and the like, but then I would like to have them as a decentralised solution. There is a reason why it was rejected in the last vote on this topic.

  3. That is no scam. It’s increasing the security based on a proper id check. It won’t work without it

  4. They force you to use SwissID. My Account frozen when I didn’t change to SwissID. I had to call the Post Customer Service and they had to “unban” me and then I had to Switch to SwissID or else it would’ve banned me again.

    Ridiculous.

  5. Been using SwissID for a while, it’s okay. Honestly, just sign up and spend your energy elsewhere.

  6. Do you really need that account right now? I am ignoring it because I won’t use SwissID and fine with potentially losing the account over it, but I don’t believe Post will have the guts to hold out that change if enough customers ignore it.

  7. received the same, and honestly, I’ll refuse to use SwissID. Die Post desperately trying to force people to use their service, and to me it seems they run out of ideas on how to improve their bottom line. obvously they fail in all parts of their services – higher prices for less service. I’ve been observing this trend for quite some time. they should be regulated more strictly. more over, I think they should be only allowed to stick with their initial services since they got a monopoly in a public service…

  8. The technological giants like Microsoft and Apple are working on a new no-password technology that could as well become the new norm really fast. That Swiss ID thing will be obsolete soon. It already is if you consider password managers and 2-factor authentications.
