On this day 26 years ago, Tasos Isaac was murdered by the Turkish far-right “grey wolves” in an anti-occupation march with his motorcycle in the dead zone

  1. The people responsible for his (and his cousin’s Solomos solomou’s) deaths were never charged. Some still hold important positions in North Cyprus.

  2. Any truth to the fact that the Isaac’s psarotaverna in Napa is owned by Tasos’s wife and names after him?

Also, I’ve been working on petitioning several international governments to formally recognize the grey wolves as a terrorist organisation, as they certainly meet the criteria.

If anyone has some good data or for whatever reason they think they can contribute, feel free to ping me.

  3. Don’t kid yourself, EOKA is an ultra-nationalist armed organization that raided Turkish villages and massacred people before the Turkish intervention.
