Free contraception scheme to be expanded to women aged 16 to 30

  1. How about the extend it to include all women of child bearing age….you don’t turn 30 and automatically want a baby 🤨 (I say as a 23 year old who got her first free contraception today, was pretty great being able to save 18 euro ✌️)

  2. Free contraception for all, anywhere at anytime. Regardless of age. But a good step in the right direction.

I know this sub shits on Ireland but it is regulation like this that is making me move back home from the UK.

  3. My pharmacist wanted to give me my contraceptive for free the other day, asked for my PPS nr and everything! Told him Im 31 and dont qualify and he nearly fell over! He genuinely thought I was under 25, took the compliment paid my €9.75 and left with a smile. I still dont qualify even with the new limits but hey ho, I’ve been paying for contraceptive since I was 17. So Im used to it I guess.

  4. Would be great for older women too who have finished having kids. I’m more scared of getting pregnant later in life than I was as a teen, and I know that’s a common sentiment.

I wonder is it even on their radar?
