I noticed this the other day, I always thought cans were 33cl, but since some time Jupiler is telling me their cans are 35,5cl.
What’s the logic/reason behind this extra 2,5cl?

  1. And on the other hand, I picked what I thought a 0.33 beer to try it out, just to see at home while checking the label, that’s 0.3

  2. With all the current problems and the many more on their way, they’re just trying to ease our suffering by giving us more beer to drink ourselves into a false sense of security

  3. Waarschijnlijk een Amerikaanse bestelling die op het laatste moment niet doorging. Je ziet zoiets wel vaker.

  4. The E means that the volume may be 10% off, so probably it contains 0,33 but they are allowed to write 0,35 because of the European law. A lot of times, 1 liter milk is 0,91 liter milk

  5. I’m pretty sure I remember an advertising campaign when they changed it. They claimed they were increasing volume but keep the price to give everyone a little extra

  6. It started as a marketing stunt from Inbev. Giving more beer for the same price. A bar sells a 33cl primus for 1.5 EUR? You can now get a 35.5cl Jupiler for the same price.
This worked better than they expected, so now they keep selling Jups that way.
