A relative of mine lives in a small village in the north west and there was big trouble in the local centre that is housing Ukrainian refugees last month. Apparently there was essentially a riot between Ukrainian Nationalist and pro-Russian Ukrainians. Gardaí had to come down to break it up.

Communal living for people with serious, recent and unprocessed trauma isn’t great. I’m not saying it’s not worth doing, or an excuse for violence- but it has to be a contributing factor to incidents like this. I hope the poor child and her mother heal well.
We had 2 other incidents in the last month of Irish family members murdering young children.
We really have no business judging other foreign communities living here in desperate situations.
