OK fine, if you’re in for a non-violent crime I can support this, but if you’re in because you stabbed someone, then the community doesn’t want you there either
Also this should only apply to women pregnant before they went to prison, if you get pregnant while in prison, that’s on you
Ah yes pregnant women cannot be held accountable to the same standard as anyone else, disabled people, mentally ill people, etc. Protests like these give ammo to the idea that protests should be controlled by law.
The funny thing about it is almost no pregnant women ever go to prison. They are literally always given huge leniency. So for a pregnant woman to actually be imprisoned, speaks to the severity or level of their offending.
Anybody pregnant woman in prison will almost certainly deserve to be there.
Hmm but wouldn’t it be the women’s responsibility not to commit crimes?
If only pregnant women had a way to avoid going to prison, like by not breaking the law.
If a woman attacked me, or broke into my house I’d be livid if she got off easy because she was either pregnant at the time, or got pregnant later. Sadly she probably already would anyway.
How the hell is that ok? We should only be sending people to prison if they need to be there, and I don’t care if you’re pregnant, don’t break the damn law.
I know not everyone in prison is guilty, and some people are in prison for daft things, but that is an issue that extends way past pregnant woman and should be delt with universally.
The issue of baby deaths also needs sorting, and clearly those babys are being failed by the prisons. Like just take the women out and have them in a hospital.
If they are guilty of the crime they should be in prison, why should they be freed if a man guilty of the same crime would not.
I’m not an MRA. I don’t think babies should be born in prison. Also a father should not be separated from his new baby by his being in prison.
It’s not their fault they commit crimes. It’s their hormones.
