I don’t know why anyone is acting surprised by this now. Everyone knew it would be the result of Brexit, but supposedly it was the price that people were willing to pay for blue passports.
The great thing about the exchange rate is that even someone completely ignorant of basic economics can intuitively understand that the pound losing value against other currencies is generally not a good thing.
Because it’s clear that we have a government that doesn’t know what it’s doing. Next.
Because rich cunts who speculate on markets don’t trust our rich cunts to manage things properly and don’t think the rich cunts in opposition would do any better.
Who the fuck even was Lizz Truss 12 months ago? Never heard of the dick.
Because the markets have done what the government hides borrowing okay but tax cuts bring no value to the economy and increase debt and the cost of service debt result pound goes down
Gonna be a lot of vultures buying up British companies on the cheap and then and stripping them out…
I can’t be bothered reading the article but the price of the pound has fallen due to our country being unrecognizable for where it was 10 years ago.
Left the EU means we’re pretty much on our own.
Pandemic. Lock down for almost 2 years. Government spend billions and billions, paid everybody’s wages etc.
The Queen dying. Not sure how this affects it but she has been a constant since WW2 and change is scary, even if it’s only symbolic.
Stupid governments with even worse economic plans that make no sense such as spending £150bn when you could have achieved a better result by nationalizing for £20bn.
If you spend more money than you have, borrow more money than you need and limit the potential to gain more income then don’t be surprised when your finances are fucked. If our government was a bank, would you open an account and entrust your money to them? Not a chance.
Hello Liz how are you paying for the tax cuts? Well if you press me the unborn will be paying for it long into the future. Isn’t getting the country into massive debt in light of that debt exposed to increasing interest rates hugely reckless? As I said future generations are paying so we’re all good. All I’m concerned about is the present. OK so what about the poor? Eh? What about them? You surely should do something for them no? I have they’re all getting a mental health crises and there’s really long waiting lists and they probably won’t want to live so I expect nature to take its course then. Wow you really are an asshole aren’t you? Thanks compliments won’t get you anywhere though.
If Liz Truss was a beer she’d be a half pint of Thatcher Mild.
I wonder why faith in Sterling has plummeted.

I’m a British and US citizen, living in the US, and planning a 6 week trip home to the UK next year. This is great news for me 🍾
So what you’re saying is, we’re headed on the same direction as Venezuela? Time to book it out of here
And now we wait for the Tories to attack the BBC for “bias” for reporting that they caused this.
