Does it bother anyone else that Tesco is appearing to espouse Irish suppliers and yet places Cadburys in their “Support Irish” display case?

Aye. But Macaroons are shit.
I mean, Cadbury’s do have a factory in Coolock that manufactures using Irish ingredients.
Could be made in Ireland?
I know Cadbury Ireland uses local ingredients.
They probably ran out of stock of the original product, in retail there’s a rule drilled in that there should be no empty shelves as it’s considered a lost potential sale so always try substitute
Technically it could be Irish…
No
If it makes you feel any better, cadburies isn’t even British anymore and hasn’t been for a while it’s American. So this ad is dumb in the UK too.
Thats more ‘fuck we got an empty display in planogram, and a fuck load of twirls. Throw em out quick, hurry hurry go go, you can tell as boxes and rough cut and not spread out quickly
Could be the lines made in Ireland. The 43g dairy milks are, and that’s why they taste better than the other shit they make.
Totally see your point, but twirls are made in the Irish factory in Coolock. So they do at least support Irish jobs and have a lower carbon footprint than other chocolate.
Fuck knows if Tesco actually knew that though.
No I have more important things to be thinking about than this fucking nonsense. Life really is a struggle for a lot of people on Reddit.
They make those in Ireland so it’s accurate.
Free State Dairy Milk
The supplier may be Irish, the manufacturer may not be.
I think they still make some stuff here but a lot of their operations have been shipped to poland and the uk
