  1. That’s a certification of one getting Christian education and attending their first communion meaning they are now full members of the church. That in turn is requirement of acting as a godparent or getting married.

Because the person has been 25 at the time of this, I guess they took it as adults to get married here in Finland.

The text in the upper half is several quotations from different books in the bible.

  2. Unsure if my half assed help here is needed, but…

The top part is a prayer of some kind, am sure you can find the passages from any bible with the passage numbers there.

But the bottom half is telling that the person has done their “uskontunnustus” which just translates to “Creed”.
I believe this is document of showing that the person has done their confession or communion.

My cursive comprehension is very bad, so cant fogure out the name at the top, or the crossed out/added part at the middle, which both seem like the more interesting parts.

  3. It’s a confirmation certificate. The printed text comprises quotes from the bible and the handwritten is where and when. August 1909 in Koivisto.

  4. I am Lord your God.

O if you would take my word in your heart then your peace would be like a current and your righteousnes like an ocean wave.

If you keep in me and my words in you, what ever you desire, ask and you will receive.

If we in travel in white ( Valkeudessanne= in your whitenes/purity??), like he is in white, then we have a part admist our selfs

and Jesus Christuses Sons blood vashes away all our sins.

Let us dare to be merciful so we can be good and find mercy, because we need help.

Be faithful till death, an i will give you a crown of life.

mountains keep the necessary and the hills our sins, but my mercy will not fail you and my union of peace will not keep you from sin, says God, your savior.

  5. Top says “I am Lord, your God”

    Then there’s Isaiah 48:18, John 15:7, 1 John 1:7, Hebrews 4:16, Revelation 2:10, and Isaiah 54:10.

I’m having hard time reading the first name but it looks like “Alue(?) Margery Campbell Javers, born on December 19th 1883 has received christian teaching and has ~~publically~~ confessed their faith <this is added> by Lutherian doctrine</> and afterwards has had the Lords Holy Communion for the first time.

  8. Me knowing fluent Finnish, this is old language and I understand like 50% of the words, thus I don’t know what it’s saying overall. Some poem about Jesus, lol.

  9. The Bible quotes are in order of appearance:

” I am Yahweh your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go. Oh that you had listened to my commandments! then had your peace been as a river, and your righteousness as the waves of the sea:”

    Isaiah 48:17,18

“If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.”

    John. 15:7

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.”

    1. John 1:7

“Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.”

    Hebrews 4:16

Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

    Rev. 2:10

“For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed, says Yahweh who has mercy on you.”

    Isaiah 54:10
