Covid hospitalisations rise by nearly 20% in a week in England

  1. I had covid last week. Down to my last few tests, so had to tactically test once, positive, then about four days later, negative. Chest feels rather chargrilled.

  2. For a while I didn’t know anyone with it, but suddenly a couple of friends and colleagues tested positive again, so I thought things must be going up. Schools are back though.

  3. Guardian trying to get the public sector another winter sabbatical while the rest of us are still trying to rebuild

  4. Looks like the timing coincides with super spreader evens like schools and universities opening quite neatly.

As this has been known effect for a couple of years now, I would hope extra measures have been implemented by the the government to negate the causes and the knock on effects to the NHS. (/s for anyone who thinks this isn’t dripping in sarcasm)
