  1. The Swiss-Italian-French border point goes from -20 to -2 in the span of an hour?

  2. Since it’s getting cold I might as well share few tips on how to keep your house warm. This is first winter I’m living on my own so I’m still learning on how to run a house, but here is what I learnt so far:

    Remember to:

    – If you have kitchen or bathroom extractor fans, replace exterior vents with ones that automatically close when not fans are not running

    – Insulate your loft

    – Check windows seals and replace if needed

    – Bleed your radiators

    – Balance your radiators

    – Learn what TRV are and how to use them

    – If you have some spare money, invest in smart learning thermostat which will save you a lot of money over years

  3. Help, we’re miserable here. It is not cold enough for snow and certainly not warm enough to want to spend the day outside. Add some clouds and some wind and you have a recipe for a traditional danish winter.

  4. Strange to think that a place as hot as Libyan Sahara is in the summer, it can still go as low as +4c in January.

Though it’s nice to have a more normal winter in Finland for a change.

  5. Why is there so little temperature variation around Central Europe? There is even a place that doesn’t even move by a single degree.

Is the sun not working there?

  6. Might be an unpopular opinion, but I’m happy that we’re having a far more “normal” winter this year. It’s been getting far too mild in recent years
