  1. Well, at least he’s outing himself as having a near-pathological lack of empathy since he was in college.

He should be in charge of only his own life, we need to stop voting these types in as councillors.

  2. These are the people we’re up against. They genuinely don’t give a shit about us and they are so fucking smug about how little we do to fight back.

Remember their names. Remember what they said and did. Because the time will come to judge them, and we must see justice done.

  3. This is what you sound like when you jump into a thread, comfy in your home and on your phone, and start talking shit about people taking to the streets. If you don’t want to or need to do it, fair enough, but don’t be acting the prick and try to demonize people’s right to peaceful protest. Lest you look and sound like our dear Maurice here.

The man may have single handedly pushed me into taking a more active approach in politics. I attended the protest yesterday and, after the seeing the sheer smug, sneering bullshit coming from people like this, I just can’t sit on my hole and do nothing anymore. Little parasites like this need to be called out and shamed on their bullshit, and I’m willing to educate myself on these matters to do so.

  4. The smarmy cunts bio says “Here for polite and respectful discourse”, yeah only when it’s aimed at him and of course he should be allowed to take aim at the poors as much as he wants

  5. How far gone do you have to be to think people of all walks of life won’t genuinely care about stuff that directly effects them financially. Absolute wanker.

  6. From his own bio “Here for polite and respectful discourse. Fine Gael Councillor, Blackrock Ward. Sense of humour appreciated.”

    Bit of an arsehole

  7. ironically back in the day there was more social housing, back in ultra conservative Ireland there was more housing available. thats why I find old people whinging about milennials complaining about housing to be so stupid.

  8. Are people like this so blind to the general sentiment of the country? Surely you can’t be that unaware

  9. Oh look, he’s now rowing back:

    > My tweet appears to have been completely & deliberately misunderstood. It was intended to convey my disgust at bandwagon hopping politicians and not ordinary people. We all agree there is a cost of living crisis. FG is taking measures later this week to alleviate that suffering.
