Get Bruce Willis on the job, if he fails we have a back up team headed by Robert Duvall…
There are 2 types of Asteroid. Soild Asteroids and Asteroids that are like honeycomb on the inside like the inside of a Crunchie or Aero bar.
The soild Asteroid you could hit with nukes or missiles and theoretical shatter them into smaller chunks.
The honeycomb Asteroid however, you could hit it with every nuke on the planet and not even phase it. ( The hollow pockets inside it would dissipate the energy of a blast, the amount of explosive energy that would completely shatter solid Asteroid would only take a tiny chip off a honeycomb Asteroid )
Oops sorry, its been delayed…
Did I say delayed, I meant cancelled
> DART will zero in on the asteroid on Monday
>Cameras and telescopes will watch the crash, but it will take days or even weeks to find out if it actually changed the orbit.
