Cost of building is 382mil , but the gov wil pay the investors 40mil per year for 25 years before owning the prison. So our government pays 1 bilion in total. Am I missing something when I say that this sounds like an incredibly bad deal? Why not build it yourself for 382mil then?!
Not only Haren will be new, there will be a couple of new prisons built in the next few years. Most of these will be pretty comfortable to live in, as the manager of these prisons actually strives to make the inmates feel humane. Which means giving them a feeling of freedom, good food, comfortable cells, etc..
