Good thing that cyclists are allowed on this cycle path

  1. So… The first sign says, that I’m only allowed to use a cycle, and the second sign says that from that list, I have to delete the cycle? So I’m not allowed to use the path at all?

  2. According to this sign, cycling on a normal bike isn’t allowed on this lane.

Only scooters and Speed Pedelecs (P) are allowed to use the lane

  3. You know that other means of transportation exists ? The posts about the signs are becoming incredibly dumber by the minute.

  4. This doesn’t even look like a cycle lane. The road seems to curve to the right while the “cycle lane” seems to go over a bridge in the distance.

A cycle lane is a lane next to a roadway where cyclists should go if they want to follow **that** road. If the “cycle lane” is going to a different place, it’s not a cycle lane but a separate road (a road only for cyclists), and it needs either a white sign with red border banning all traffic except cyclists, or one of the square signs with a bicycle symbol indicating a “bicycle road”.

If the whole road is a cycle lane, like here, arguably you’re allowed to drive on it because the rules only require vehicles to drive on the roadway if there is a roadway. If the entire road is a “cycle lane”, there’s no law banning drivers from using it (because such a road isn’t supposed to exist in the first place so there are no laws about it).

Edit: [I found the location](https://goo.gl/maps/CTM7zUg4xYXhMC5M6) and indeed, there used to be a white sign with red border, like there’s supposed to be. Probably it was stolen and some city worker replaced it with the wrong sign, hence this weird combination.

  5. This place looks oddly familiar to me. Pretty sure i went to a fuif there when i was younger. Where was this picture taken?
