What values would you give the different areas of this Risk-map of Belgium?

  1. So, my brother is making a Risk-game with the map of Belgium to play with some friends. He is trying to figure out which values he would give each area. Any Risk-fans that could help us out?

  2. Oh I though it was one of those travel risk maps

I suppose each Province should have roughly the same amount of points, with the Province capital being the highest

Brussels should have the same amount as a full singular province

  3. Looks like it would be hard to hold any of the territories as there are no choke points on the map worth fighting for.

Probably Brussels and Ghent would be worth 2 or 3 troops more than any of the edge ones which would be pretty even.

  4. Not really a risk fan but i think Luxembourg is pretty easy to defend as it only has three areas bordering other areas. I would consider it like Oceania on the risk map.

Edit: words because they were in the wrong order.

  5. Risk of meeting wealthy people.
Warmer colours is highest, coldest is lowest.

    Red, orange, yellow, green, blue

  6. As an uneducated Walloon, I know of all these places, except Clavier. I checked on Google Maps and indeed it’s a vast nothingness. The closest city is Durbuy, which claims to be the smallest city in the world.

  7. It depends, what do you want to represent? Economic capacity, or ready-to-go military capacity?

There are quite a few interesting features in Belgium, among others the NATO HQ and the nuclear weapons in Kleine Brogel.

  8. How does the blue piece underneath Ieper work? Does it come with the larger piece to the SE of it? If so, does that mean you can attack both Kortrijk and Ieper? Seems like it would be easier to just make the whole piece Ieper.
