**What is represented here :** The average mandatory prelevation rate for a salary increase relative to a percentage of the average salary. This prelevation rate includes salary taxes but also social security taxes.
Are there some formula to prove this, because this seems counterintuitive.
what would be a better solution? removing workbonus and raise the tax free sum? But then the rich would also profit?
Many people know the marginal tax rate is high, but are still shocked when they see the real numbers: 60% and up, more when counting the hidden tax on the employer. Question to you redditors: does knowing this data, actually in practice, influence your motivation to obtain promotion?
Personally, I will place MUCH more emphasis on extralegal benefits. I’m an ambitious person with a PhD engineering degree, but am honestly investigating options like starting a one-man company, expat life, teleworking internationally or moving out for a short time. But I sacrifice a lot with that so I just feel like getting a part-time good Belgian job and throwing away my ambitions.
