Hollywood actors of Scandinavian origin

  1. There’s atleast 3 that i can see that’s not Scandinavian.
Still not bad for such a small area population wise.

  2. Saying that some of these people are of Scandinavian origin should not come as a surprise. Like Stellan Skarsgård, he is basically named Sweden McSweedface.

  3. People of Scandinavian origin are good looking people though; the women more so than men. My wife and I spent a long weekend in Reykjavik and hit some clubs, and our observation was it’s a nation of guys overachieving (meaning dating/married above their level).

  4. This is really stretching the definition of the word “origin”… Also the word “Scandinavian” (since it includes Iceland)

  5. Kristofer Hivju was the reason why I began learning Norwegian, to understand him in interviews and watch his movies (in Norwegian) without subtitles 🤣

  6. For us oldtimers: where is Robert Mitchum? His Norwegian ancestry was a big deal when «Winds of War» went on TV. Lorenzo Lamas, Lance in Falcon Crest was another one.

  7. Is it bad that i literally know 3 of these people(hayden Christianson, mark wallberg and scarlet Johansen) that how little i care about pop celebrities

  8. Two weeks ago: A thread about how people outside Scandinavia, living in the US and abroad, not being “true” Scandinavians, thus can’t claim heritage and are considered “Americans”.

    This week: This bullshit Lol.

  9. The first person I think of on this subject, and who is not listed here, is Renee Zellweger. Her father was Swiss, but “her mother, Kjellfrid Irene (née Andreassen), is Norwegian of Kven and Sámi descent. Kjellfrid grew up in Ekkerøy near the town Vadsø in the northern part of Norway. She was a nurse and midwife who moved to the United States to work as a governess for a Norwegian family in Texas.” 🇳🇴

  10. This is too american. Theres a difference between having a living connection to a place and having someone way up on the family tree being from said place.

I dont see 99% of brits claiming scandinavian heritage.
