Long story short it’s getting retracked. It’s basically a necessity due to the age of the ride and that parts of it are really fatigued.
Now if only Merlin could do the same with Colossus at Thorpe Park. That thing (as well as Saw) is as rough as it gets and is guaranteed to cause a headache or two.
I’ve not been to Alton Towers in years. Nemesis is definitely one of my favourite rides and defo needs a refresh.
A part of me would absolutely love another old rickety coaster that does your neck in like corkscrew (I only got to ride it once), but nemesis is definitely not the coaster for that! Hope they can use the refresh to draw some people, it’s been a very rough few years for Alton.
Because we know how much you like queuing, we’re closing the ride to extend the queue so you can now queue longer. We’ve even opened a queue for the queue while you wait for the opening.
