Liverpool MP Kim Johnson says Keir Starmer has ‘no b***s’ during dock workers strike

  1. Love Liverpool as a city but politically it’s a throwback to the 1970s. Some of them haven’t heard that the Berlin Wall has fallen.

  2. And that statement helps how?

    Who exactly does he want in power – Keir or Thatcher 3.0?

    Because that’s the choice. Corbyn is gone, buried under a landslide defeat to a PM so horribly inept and unsuitable, his own party got rid.

  3. Sometimes I just think that a bunch of normal people should run for parliament but labour or the tories would never allow them in their party.

    If the country gets fucked hard enough, maybe a third party may arise that aren’t as shit as the lib dems, greens or whatever the hell ukip is now.

    Real people, real policies, real shit. A few examples:

    * Multi billion pound companies are hiding their profits. They either pay up or leave.” Google, Facebook, Amazon etc ain’t gonna leave this country.
    * Nationalizing energy is cheaper than giving them hundreds of billions, so we nationalize.
    * Greed has run rampant too much, rental caps.
    * Build more social housing.
    * (Not a policy but something about trying to help people understand that if you can’t afford something (like an iphone or a kid) then you shouldn’t be having one).
    * Social media is making people stupid but even worse it’s making kids even more stupid. Social media ban between 10 pm and 6 am for kids.
    * Legalize weed. It’s mundane and a lot of people smoke it anyway. The tax from that can actually fix the NHS unlike that red bus.
    * All state funded schools will not have branded uniforms, instead parents can buy generic blazers, jumpers and buy a £3 iron on patch with the school emblem. Parents now save hundreds.
    * Deport Jamie Oliver and bring back Turkey Twizzlers in schools.
    * Funding if clearly ridiculous university courses to be cut and perhaps even grade requirements. Universities are taking record amount of students, offering them nothing and these students are having a 3 year holiday. Not anymore. The Open University will still receive all funding.
