I’ll be honest, I think there are two possible scenarios:
1. Your brother crossed the border illegally, is completely on his own, and you’re rightfully worried and you’d prefer for him to be found and get in trouble rather than die of exposure. (Not judging, just a rational possibility.) If there is organised illegal activity behind this, you may be able to convince them to go out and look for him rather than be reported to the police. They should ideally bring as many as they can and make a lot of noise. (Air horns, flares, shouts, etc. – don’t be afraid to cover this if they won’t. Shouts aren’t necessarily sufficient.) My word of advice? Pay extra attention to bodies of water and read up on search and rescue best practices.
2. He was indeed traveling with a group of people who you have gotten in touch with. There are many scenarios here. He could have had a fall, could have been attacked by an animal, could have lost direction and wandered off looking for a settlement, he could have been injured and left while they tried to get help. You’d likely need a team of search and rescue volunteers who can search the area. The above advice still applies. Luckily, the area doesn’t have a large bear population.
In either scenario, you might also want to go and look for him too. I wish you a lot of luck and I hope that your brother is all right.

There are tire tracks right there on the location pin. They likely drove there. If you trace the tracks back you might figure out where they came from and call those places to find information.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who got involve in this, I wasn’t expecting anything, it was an desperate act of a young brother who wants to find his big brother.. I really appreciate you guys and I wont forget this, really.
The closest village is 2.6 km away. The red cross rescue teams should locate him farely soon If he doesn’t wander towards the turkish border that is… Then it would take a week or 2
I’ve been around that place, it was 4 or 5 years ago as a part of the survey for video-surveilance all along the border with Turkey. All I can tell you, it’s fucked up. That’s the only place where I’ve seen a bear in real life.
The weather here is warm and dry tonight, so he won’t be getting any kind of exposure if he is still out there Right now in that area there are border police, military and even horse police as it is a well known area for migrants. He is probably in a police cell in Zvezdets.

How come his friends know he lost his food, water and backpack? Were they with him when he lost em, or they found his belongings? If so, they aren’t really friends if they left him alone knowing he lost his belongings. Anyways, good luck!
