I can’t work out if Liz Truss is attractive or not
> But a fundamental disagreement about how to help their citizens…do not bode well for the future of US-UK relations.
Well the US imposes less tax than the UK, so I’m sure Biden won’t be too mad that the UK is cancelling a corporation tax rise.
I think one would be hard pressed to think of many issues that the UK and the US leadership are diametrically opposed on.
Despite the narrative, the UK Conservatives are more internationalist and less protectionist than the US leadership.
> “What is important to me is that we grow the British economy, because that is what will ultimately deliver higher wages, more investment in towns and cities across the country, that is what will ultimately deliver more money into people’s pockets,
What an incredibly stupid assertion. Beyond comprehension and the reason every proponent of Trickle Down economics shouldn’t be allowed to vote or hold office. The economy is about people spending money so that others can get money and spend that money too. If they don’t do it we go into recession. Everybody knows this. Yet instead of spurring the economy by directly putting money in peoples pockets so that businesses can grow she wants to hope that that money she gives to big business will be spent here by people that will do everything they can to keep wages and ergo spending down. This is insane.
… One looks ready for the grave, the other looks like they’ve just risen from it.
She’ll walk in thinking she can start swinging her balls all over the place while Bidens holding all the cards she well out of her depth the people who put her where she is are gonna regret it well all but the owners an shareholders of the oil an gas companies
