I’d love to see this implemented for cycle paths and foot paths here

  1. There’s a few spots I know of where the cycle lanes basically get taken over as unofficial parking any time there’s an event on, I would make so much money while also being able to resolve my frustration about the lane being blocked.

I’m going to assume anyone upset by this is the kind of driver who feels entitled to park wherever they want but then also complain about cyclists on the road.

  2. New Yorker here – sadly there’s no way our current mayor would ever allow something as obviously good as this to pass. Zero percent chance it actually happens

  3. Would 💕 to see something like this introduced for litter louts. Unfortunately unless in a car they don’t have reg plates.

  4. If we designed cycle lanes that vehicles physically couldn’t enter them , that would be a great help, personally I’ve found them good going to work but heading home anytime after 19:00 they’re filled with cars forcing me into traffic, even with lights and a high Viz it dramatically increases the danger of cycling.

  5. I can see there being a lot of issues with people having their phone out getting good pictures and then the car owner comes along and wants to start a fight.

  6. I don’t understand why they don’t just stick up a camera and fine every one €100. Killarneys horrendous for illegal parking and don’t get me started on a match day when cars are parked on the bypass

  7. Sounds like a lotta people mad they gotta pay gas, car ins + whatever related expenses.

This city wasn’t designed for *every* single person to have a vehicle. But it makes sense that sometimes you DO need a car. Kids, job out of the Boros, you work in construction, whatever.

But the need for a status symbol as dumb as a car is just laughable at this point.
