We Buy Any Car deal end Phillip Schofield’s £1m deal after ‘Queuegate’

  1. Of all the reasons not to like this bloke people choose him “jumping” a queue (along with everybody else in the media who was reporting on the funeral… )

The grooming and the cheating and the bullying we can look past, but jump a bloody queue and you’re in for it.

  2. Do I find Schofield annoying? Yes. Because we don’t have the same sense of humour.

Do I think he has done anything wrong here? No. Not at all. Hundreds of journalists (bla bla bla before you snicker “Ha, *I* don’t think This Morning counts as journalism”) did the same thing, and nobody cares.

If you are angry about this, ask yourself why.

  3. Whoever thinks this is about the queue is daft, they’ve clearly pissed off some people in powerful places and are now being told to step back in line.

  4. hurricane in a tea cup. It’s been insane how much hatred has been peddled about this… so many people used the VIP queue and only these two are being targeted.

  5. “we worked together very briefly a long time ago, we’ve had distinctly separate careers since then. I can’t remember the last time we spoke, and I have no further comment,” said Gordon T. Gopher.

  6. The adverts are annoying (not as bad as Nationwide or Lloyds though).

They should go back to the original campaign with the jingle on a loop every 3 adverts, that was memorable.

  7. I can’t believe people who wanted to queue for a whole working day to walk past the body of a multimillionaire who sat on a literal golden throne *also* have an issue with wealthy people being allowed a privilege over them.

  8. Philip Schofield is a creepy scumbag who deserves every ounce of shit that comes his noncey way. I’m absolutely loving this.

  9. ‘gate’ and “slammed’ need resigning to the same special corner of hell Murdoch is going to when he dies.

    Originality truly is dead

  10. This is cancel culture in a nutshell. What people don’t seem to realise is cancel culture isn’t a product of the political left or political right. It is a product of the outrage machine that is social media. It is completely impossible for anyone in the public eye to not ever do anything that pisses someone off. If that outrage should happen to go viral online, your career can be destroyed and you life can be ruined. I mean honestly, I can’t say I feel massively sorry for the pair of them. They’re absolutely loaded. I’m sure they’ll be fine. But the idea that people can have their careers ruined because a Twitter mob came for them is something we all need to be thinking about quite seriously. It has gone too far.

  11. I mean its so obviously a cover for the Tories. Its pathetic. Not sure what people wanted them to do? Take the day off? No morning TV because they are queing? They must be so confused to be directed to a queue of media peeps and somehow they are the only ones getting shit.

They didn’t jump the queue to get petrol or steal from children. They just looked at a coffin.

  12. > the car dealership say it’s unrelated to the Queuegate drama

Get your fucking title straight OP. News articles should be posted with the same title as the article. It’s against Rule 2 and I’ve told the teachers on you.

  13. Strange that this is what is ending him and not the fact that he had a sexual relationship with someone who was underage that he knew from the age of 10

  14. Honestly wild that we would ignore the grooming and adultery (and let’s not forget ruining his wife’s entire life with lies), but skipping a queue to see a wooden box is the big issue here

  15. I don’t watch ITV but their excuse reasoning was they were there to film something… Was whatever they filmed for ever released?

  16. The media is afraid to condem all the other stuff because there are too many in their ranks guilty of the same stuff. But queue jumping is an easy one to attack.
