I tried the Bougasta dessert for the first time ever during breakfast today and I loved it! I’d give it a 10/10!

  1. I’m used to more flat bougatsa, the sweet one being powdered with cinnamon. But looking super nice!

  2. Come to Thessaloniki so you can treat yourself to the best bougatsa in the world. This one is a disgrace the Athenians make.

  3. That is not bougatsa. Seems like an “elevated” galaktompoureko (milk pie). I say elevated because of the nuts and jam. But yeah, definitely not bougatsa.

  4. To me, this looks more like a hybrid between baklava and galaktoboureko! But I don’t doubt it was tasty, just not what we call bougatsa (which is divine as well).
